Happy Pride and COVID Update
Just a quick update from Babes Around Denver. First and foremost, we hope that all of you (including your families and friends) are healthy and staying safe. We know that many in our community have been affected by COVID and we hope you are using some of the resources that are available.
By now you have probably heard that Pridefest will be a virtual event on June 20-21st. Please keep The GLBT Center in your thoughts since Pridefest is their main source of funding. Also – try and support the businesses – virtually or when they open – that are also affected. Babes Around Denver has been a PrideFest sponsor for many years and our party is always the “Official Women’s Pride Party. We will not be hosting Pride or any First Fridays for the near future but June is Pride month so we wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Pride.
In the meantime, we are paying very close attention to all the updates from Governor Polis and Mayor Hancock and we will adhere to all the guidelines that are issued. We are also in close contact with Tracks and we are grateful to them for their proactive approach in dealing with COVID. They shut down before the mandate and they have been hyper cleaning and renovating.
